About Logical Bookkeeping Services
We are a small, dedicated bookkeeping practice based just outside Norwich, working with sole traders, tradespeople and SMEs across Norfolk.
We are not trying to be the biggest practice in the region. We are trying to be the best one to work with.
That means keeping things personal, maintaining consistently high standards, and making sure every client gets the attention their business deserves.
Christopher Lodge, MAAT
Christopher founded Logical Bookkeeping Services because he saw how much of a difference proper bookkeeping makes, and how rarely businesses feel they are truly getting it. He has been working in finance for over 15 years, starting with hands-on data entry and building up experience all the way through to boardroom-level financial discussions. That breadth means the team understands businesses at every stage, from a sole trader just getting started to an established SME managing a growing team.
Christopher leads the practice and sets the standard for how client work is handled. The whole team works to that standard. When you come to us with a question about your accounts, whoever you speak to knows your business and can give you a straight answer.
Christopher is a Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (MAAT), a Xero Certified Partner and Adviser, and a QuickBooks Partner.
The Team
Alongside Christopher, our team includes Sarah Hann (Bookkeeper) and Sam Kirby (Trainee Bookkeeper). It is a tight team that works closely together, and that closeness shows in how well we know each client's business.
We have deliberately kept the team small. It means we can stay close to every client, maintain consistently high standards, and give the kind of service that gets lost when practices grow too quickly. We are not chasing volume. We are focused on doing good work for businesses we genuinely understand.
How We Charge
We bill by the hour. It is the only model that is genuinely fair to our clients.
Fixed monthly fees are common in this industry, but in our experience they are almost always set above the actual cost of the work, sometimes significantly so. If your business has a quiet month, a fixed fee does not reflect that. We think that is wrong.
When we bill by the hour, your invoice reflects exactly what has been done. Our clients regularly tell us their monthly invoices come in lower than they expected. That is not something we advertise. It is just how the model works.
"Reliable, knowledgeable, always on hand to answer questions or offer clear advice, efficient, accurate, gives peace of mind, allows focus on business, friendly and professional service, dependable bookkeeper."
